Signing of daily entries

The mobile version offers several options for signing records and daily logs. These options differ in terms of the effort required (especially during the preparation phase) and their usability in potential legal disputes. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the signing method that is most suitable for the given log.

Signing in the mobile app is exceptionally easy. Therefore, we recommend that all users install the mobile app, even if they are making entries in the web application.

Signature of a record or daily report

The procedure for signing a single record and a daily report is the same. In the menu of a Other entries (three dots on the record) or in the Day menu (three dots in the header), select “Sign Record” or “Sign Day.” In the following window, you will see information about the certificate that will be used according to your settings. The graphical appearance of the signature will also be displayed. The signature will be executed on your mobile device (in compliance with security requirements for electronic signatures), and the signed file will be automatically uploaded to the server.

When signing for the first time, if you have not set the appearance of your signature, you will be asked to configure it.

Signature Configuration

In the Signature Settings window, you can configure your signature according to the available options. You can either Draw the signature or choose an Image, such as a scan of your handwritten signature. In both cases, it is only a graphical representation of the signature, not an electronic signature itself.

If you use the Buildary certificate, no additional configuration is needed from your side.

If you choose the Custom Certificate option, you will need to select a certificate. In the window that opens, browse to select the PFX file containing your signing certificate. After selecting it, you will be prompted to enter the password to use the certificate. Once entered, the certificate will be uploaded to Buildary, ensuring it is protected against potential misuse. You can safely delete the PFX file after importing it into Buildary.

In the left panel of the application (the icon with three horizontal lines), select 'Settings' - 'Signature Settings'.
